Moong Dal Hummus with Flavoured Pita Bread Recipe

Moong Dal Hummus with Flavoured Pita Bread – Dabur Hommade
INGREDIENTS
  •       1/2 Cup   yellow moong daal
  •        3-4 tbsp lemon juice (Dabur Hommade Lemoneez)
  •        2 cloves garlic
  •        Salt as per taste approx 1/2 tsp
  •        2 tbsp taahini sauce (changed as per recipe to give an indian touch)
  •        2-3 tbsp olive oil
  •        Few sprigs of coriander leaves
  •        4-5 mint leaves
Method of Preparation
  •       Take the moong daal and soak it for atleast 2 hours.
  •       Drain the water and combine the other ingredients like lemon juice, garlic, taahini sauce, olive oil, salt and now blend the mixture thoroughly.
  •        Taste and add lemon juice if required. See to it that we blend it without water so that when we serve the hummus does not release any water to its sides.
  •        Now remove in a bowl and add finely chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves and mix well these fresh herbs will give a nice color to the hummus.
 For Tahini sauce Ingredients
  •       1 cup white sesame seeds
  •       2-4 tbsp olive oil
  •       1/4 tsp coriander seeds
Method of preparation
  •        Lightly toast sesame seeds over low heat for about 8-10 min. Take care not to burn them or the flavor will change.
  •       Let it cool completely and then put it in a grinder
  •        Add 2 tbsp oil to start.
  •        Then start blending till we get a butter like consistency add oil if required to get the perfect consistency and keep aside.
Making flavored pita bread
  •        Cut the bread from center and make two halves then cut in 4 triangular parts.
  •        Now brush some butter.
  •        For flavoring use ingredients like paprika, chat masala, garlic powder, roasted cumin seeds over the bread and then microwave it for 45 seconds and serve hot.
For garnishingIngredients
  •       Olive oil
  • Few coriander leaves
  •        Chilli flakes
  •        Roasted cumin powder
Serving suggestions
  •        Take a shallow plate and place the moong daal hummus.
  •        Now take some finely chopped coriander leaves and decorate it to the sides in a circular form
  •        Drizzle some olive oil and the finally sprinkle some paprika and roasted cumin powder.
